We are three former TNO employees who started a spin-off company to bring TORWASH® technology to the market. All three of us worked at ECN (later TNO) for many years on the energy transition. We have long considered TORWASH® technology to be so promising that we decided to develop it ourselves. The technology is not just a more cost-effective alternative to an existing solution, we are convinced that with this technology we can solve major problems in the field of environment and energy. And this is why we worked towards a spin-off company, which was founded in early 2020 to make the problems with the environment and climate a little smaller.

With our technology proven and the large-scale demonstration plant for sludge currently under construction, it’s time to trigger the next evolution of TORWASH. We are ready to expand into new waste streams, in particular recycling plastics. My ambition is to transform how the world views and processes residues.
